Hi,

I have to agree with you, I think that if I had known what I know now I would not have signed on for a teaching position here in Seoul, South Korea. I have been working for six months now at a school where I am the only western teacher. At first I thought that this would be a great opportunity, after all I wanted to get to know as much of the culture and people as possible. But my employer although initially kind, has spoekne to me on more than one occassion in an impolite way. He is even worse with the Korean staff. I am presently looking for a new job, even if it means leaving South Korea. So yeah, definately get in touch with people who work at a school before you sign a contract. I don't regret my decision, but I think I could have done better with a bit more knowledge under my belt. Great article.
